Skip*HOP Pronto Portable Diaper Changer
Normally considered a non-essential that was more of an impulse buy, this portable diaper changer has won me over. It has a smart mod design and has come in handy on many occasions while on the road and other adventures. No changing table, no clean surface, no problem with this product. I’ve changed diapers on the tailgate of the car, in the front seat, in my lap, on the sink counter in tiny bathrooms, on trails, in the hull of a canoe, and kept baby clean and dry as a whistle.
The company website (www.skiphop.com) says that the mesh bag holds up to 4 large diapers and ointments, but I’ve found that if you stuff more than 2 or 3 small diapers, the holder gets too bulky to close properly. The whole point of this thing for me was to keep things streamlined and light. I’ve never been a fan of diaper bags or purses for that matter. Therefore, I just make a point to reload on the changer often so there is just enough there to get me to my next destination.
The Skinny:
- USE – Gives you just what it advertises: a small portable changing system.
- AFFORDABILITY – Slightly high, should probably be in the low $20 range.
- SIZE – Nice and small, low profile.
- SIMPLE STYLING – Solid color, doesn’t scream Fisher Price.
- SANITY – Sharp little product you’ll actually use.
Retail price – $30.00

Hey! We have one of these already. A really cool friend got it for us and said it was E-SSENTIAL! Love the sleek design.
