We went hiking out in the Channel Islands on the suggestion of some good friends when we first moved to CA. Definitely worth the trip, though in July we were too late for the Giant Coreopsis bloom…BUT the time is right to see the blooms right now (at their peak they’re so dense and colorful they’ve been visible to orbiting astronauts), so we’re going to try to make it back out asap.
Wanna come? We can grab the 4o minute Ferry to Anacapa from Oxnard, CA and get some great hiking in, as well as kayaking the deep blue waters around the island for those so inclined. The Kickass Crew is putting it out there. Just sayin…
